During her 15 years at Freddie Mac, Colleen launched and led paid media programs for three lines of business that drove increased awareness and brand favorability. At the Smithsonian, she was a senior editor for multiple publications, including the annual report and the staff newspaper.
Colleen holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Smith College in Anthropology and Sociology and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
Colleen can often be heard saying “the best tech is often the low tech.” She keeps a paper pad on the counter for a running grocery list. She tapes print outs of calendar months in her kitchen to keep her household on track. She carefully preserved her family’s photographs in craft albums for future generations to enjoy.
In her spare time, Colleen loves traveling in her RV, leading outings to parks and museums, and performing as a vocalist and guitarist.
